Open governance is at the heart of transparency and accountability. Without it there is corruption and secrecy in the conduct and attitude of governance. The Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice, ANEEJ, recognizes this and seeks to partner with the global outlook and network on open governance systems and structures.
In Paris, France, stakeholders, interest groups, and world leaders gathered to strengthen calls for governments to initiate alliances which break down opaque monopolies surrounding institutions of governance. ANEEJ was there, represented by executive director, the Rev David Ugolor.
