Our Ojectives

The fundamental objectives of ANEEJ are to act, support and collaborate in the elaboration and dissemination of new approaches; policies and activities related to human development questions by:

           

Campaigning against bribery and corruption through advocacy, research, publications and litigation in her own name (African Network For Environment & Economic Justice), and if necessary or/and on behalf of victims of bribery and corruption, which litigation it shall undertake both within and outside Nigeria.

 

Representing the opinions of civil society on the issues of environment, debt, structural adjustment and financial markets.

 

Undertaking work on economic literacy and natural resources conflict related issues through research, consultancy, training, publication of books, quarterly, newsletters, lobbying governments and international institutions etc.

 

Collaborating and liasing with other non-governmental organization, democratic governments and international institutions, to campaign for debt cancellation for African Countries particularly Nigeria.

 

Gathering and analysing data to help Civil Society Organisations formulate their opinions; and

 

Communicating these opinions to interested parties through policy positions, advocacy work, information exchange and other means of expression.

 

Undertaking research on water policy.

 

Engaging in budget monitoring and tracking in Nigeria.

 

Undertaking litigation for environmental degradation, in her own name, debt crisis, resource appropriation, bribery and corruption within and outside Nigeria and if necessary beside victims or/and on behalf of victims of above ills.
