
H.E.R. Foundation Pays Courtesy Visit to ANEEJ Executive Director to Explore Strategic Partnership
Benin City Nigeria – On February 24, 2026, the Hands Extended in Relief (H.E.R.) Foundation paid a courtesy visit to the Benin City Secretariat of the Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice (ANEEJ) to formally introduce the organisation and explore opportunities for collaboration and strategic partnership.
The H.E.R. Foundation is a Benin City–based organisation focused on advocacy against gender-based violence and the empowerment of girls through mentorship, capacity-building initiatives, and awareness campaigns. The Foundation’s vision is to create a safe and enabling environment where every girl child is equipped with the confidence, skills, and support needed to reach her full potential and emerge as a leader within her community, profession, and family.
During the meeting, the H.E.R. Foundation team acknowledged the longstanding contributions of Rev. David Ugolor in advancing civil society engagement, promoting good governance, and strengthening accountability mechanisms in Nigeria. The Programme Manager, Alero Ogbebor, specifically highlighted ANEEJ’s role in anti-corruption advocacy and governance reform, noting that the organisation’s work has significantly influenced the civil society landscape.
As part of the engagement, the H.E.R. Foundation formally expressed its desire to appoint Rev. Ugolor to serve as a member of its Advisory Board. The Foundation indicated that his experience, leadership, and ethical standing would provide strategic guidance and strengthen institutional development.

He further affirmed ANEEJ’s openness to collaboration, noting that partnerships within the civil society and NGO ecosystem are essential for expanding impact, strengthening institutional capacity, and inspiring collective progress.
Rev. Ugolor formally accepted the advisory role and pledged to uphold strong ethical standards and exemplary values in supporting the Foundation’s mission. He encouraged the H.E.R. Foundation team to remain proactive, continue building institutional capacity, and maintain a strong track record of transparency and impact.
The visit concluded with the presentation of the H.E.R. Foundation’s organisational profile to ANEEJ, while Rev. Ugolor presented the ANEEJ 2026 calendar to the delegation as a gesture of goodwill and partnership.
